Having lived at the very top of Scotland for a period of time, the harsh tides of the North Sea came to dictate the work Ellis created around that time. 'Turquoise Sea' is one such piece, stemming from a harsh storm that hit his home over several days. The work is a reminder that even in the darkest of nights, there is still beauty to be found within nature.
